We started with a transitional housing program and have expanded to include a wide range of housing services including outreach, shelter, transitional housing, permanent affordable rental housing, and support services for households in the private rental market.
Land of HOPE is a Community Land Trust program offered by Community of Hope. This program was established to help develop more affordable housing including both rental and home ownership opportunities. Land of HOPE has a separate advisory board made up of people who have the wisdom and experience to help select and develop new properties. The Land of HOPE Community Land Trust program was established in September of 2022. Seeing the lack of affordable housing as the largest obstacle to helping people out of homelessness and poverty, Community of Hope took the initiative and stepped out on faith to form a CLT. The seeds of this idea had been planted years prior, but through the COVID pandemic the housing market became even more difficult. It became increasing difficult to find housing that was affordable to households at or below the annual median income.
As Land of HOPE properties become available, they will be listed on the Multiple Listings Service (MLS) as well as on our website. The location of the sites upon which are building will be listed on the website as they are acquired.
Community of Hope is dedicated to making sure no child has to experience homelessness. While not every household in the Land of HOPE house will have children, we all have people we love and call family. The home is where family gathers. The home is where love is shared and memories are made. They home is not a house, it is the love and sense of belonging experience inside of walls. Everyone deserves to be able to have such a place if they want it and are willing to put forth the effort to attain and maintain it. While our products is housing, our mission is community.
